so me and my bf are wanting to go away somewhere in the UK for my birthday we want to go to a place that is a lodge preferably a log cabin which has a hot tub and a fire somewhere romantic n secluded we will be payin up to £400 for 4 days anyone have any suggestions or been anywhere like this?
it is literally anywhere in britain we live in the middle anyway so either way is fine lol

Hello, I'm in the UK.
I'm considering the possibility of instead of buying a house, buying some land with planning permission and having a log cabin style small home built.
Are there any good websites with good advice about having this done, or any recommended log cabin companies?

There are many good resources available online. Just start with a general search of "log homes" or "Log Home plans." By becoming familiar with the different products and services offered by different log home companies, you can build a list of "must haves" in your search for a local company. To begin your search try searching for "log home news." This is a great way to find sites that bring together information about the log home industry - from a design and technical standpoint. Turn to the professional organizations as well - try the Log Homes Council at www.loghomes.org. Also, try www.logcabindirectory.com and www.loghomeblog.com for information.
