Plastic Doll House Furniture - the Modern Approach

Plastic is a material that has a wide range of uses in a number of products such as kitchenware and bath supplies, and industries such as manufacturing and construction. The list goes on and on, and this long list definitely includes the toy industry. The invention of this highly versatile material has brought about a development in the doll house industry known as: plastic doll house furniture.

For obvious reasons, the emergence of plastic doll house furniture followed the birth of plastic doll houses, specifically because of the reason that the former is simply a form of accessorizing the latter. In modern times however, the use of plastic doll house furniture is no longer limited to the presence of an actual doll house.

Nowadays, consumers on a budget may choose to purchase individually packaged plastic doll house furniture. These items may be bought without a doll house, and often these toys are used for play by children who are fond of dolls. For the child at heart, these product innovations are still patronized because of the versatility that it offers them in their collection or hobby.

In addition, plastic doll house furniture has gained quite a following because of its affordability compared to other kinds of toy furniture.

There are other reasons apart from price that makes this type of toy furniture popular to both young and old alike. One example is the sturdiness of the material; plastic of the right kind is actually quite durable and this characteristic has definitely added a different dimension to the art of miniature toy furniture pieces.

Moreover, plastic can be molded and shaped easily compared to wood and this is why it is not as labor intensive. This has also enabled manufacturers to experiment with different shapes, sizes, and designs. Imagine, toy manufacturers can easily vary designs just by changing the mold.

Of course, there are other processes involved, but this does not discount the fact that plastic doll house furniture has a certain charm to it as well, although different to that of wooden and tin versions.

Plastic Play Houses Questions

Cleaning Solution for Outdoor Playhouse.?

Does anybody know what the best way to clean their outdoor plastic playhouse and toys/lawnchairs. (besides a hose and dish soap) I once read an article on a simple soltuion to mix and clean off the grit. I'm trying to clean a Play house to bring inside for winter play.

Thanks!

I would make a paste with baking soda and vinegar, scrub then rinse...

Can You Please Help Me Calm My Cat Before I Have To Give Him UP!?!?!?

I adopted a DSH (domestic short hair) kitten from my local animal control center. He was a stray. They estimated his age to about 6-8 weeks old. He should be a year this coming August 09. My problem with him is he is too hyper. (But when I first brought him home, he was calm and relaxed.) He destroys my furniture. He scratches and bites mine and my families legs. When hes tired he will purr, and then I would pet him, and then he would bite me. He runs from one end of the house to the other. I buy him toys, and scratching post, and treats. But he doesn't play with the toys at all, he rather play with a plastic bag. He chews on everything. He literally tears the fibers out of my carpet. Every time I open the door to leave, he runs out and tries to escape. He is just too wild. And if I can't find something to calm him down soon, I will have to take him back to the animal control center, and I don't want to do that. I love my cat =]

This is called only kitten syndrome and can only be fixed by getting him a little kitty pal. He is bored, lonely and has nobody that wants to play with him. Having been taken away from his siblings so young he’s never learned proper social skills and has turned into a biter. Only another kitty can teach him some manners, so I suggest you get a girl kitten – not 6-8 weeks old, way, way, way too young. But rather one that is 12+ weeks old. That kitten will have proper social skills and whip your boy into shape.
