My mother in law started working a new job this year at a storage unit. This year for Christmas she gave me a plastic crystal phone that is old and used (still has the dirt and grime on it from the previous owner). She also gave me a beautiful hand painted hurricane lamp with a Christmas wreath and nine hand painted drinking goblets that were all dirty and had stuff caked on them. I am sure she got these gifts out of a storage shed where a person left them in there because they were not wanted. How do I tell her that if she doesn't have the money to buy a gift we understand, least she can do is clean the stuff up. I know it is the thought that counts but the gifts she gave this year take the cake, these are the worst ones ever.
